Heavy Equipment Policy

“Heavy equipment” refers to backhoes, excavators, large trucks or vans such as moving vans and cement trucks, and similar equipment.

Any MLC property owner planning to use heavy equipment on their land shall: [1]

1. Notify any co-opers who may be impacted, including by obstruction of roads or driveways, before the work is begun,
2. Be present yourself, or have a trustworthy representative present, while the work is done in order to ensure that the heavy equipment operator is following the property owner’s instructions, staying within the boundaries of the property owner’s property, and avoiding any impacts to neighbors’ property or common land.
